New Orleans police are investigating an apparent hit-and-run that happened outside business on Magazine Street.

Driver waves woman to cross the street in LGD, then runs her over, witnesses say

The victim was attempting to cross the street in the 2000 block of Magazine Street near Juan’s Flying Burrito when she said the driver of an SUV waved her to cross, but then hit the gas.

The victim told police the driver intentionally ran her over and took off.

The vehicle was described as a silver SUV — possibly a Chevy Tahoe.
