Reports: McAllister district manager leaked kissing video, staffer’s husband says it ‘has wrecked my life’
“Congressman McAllister’s behavior is an embarrassment and he should resign. He says he wants privacy to work on his issues with his family. The best way to get privacy and work on putting his family back together is to resign from Congress.”
“There’s no doubt I’ve fallen short and I’m asking for forgiveness,” McAllister said in a statement. “I’m asking for forgiveness from God, my wife, my kids, my staff and my constituents who elected me to serve.”
“I would never say anything is off of the table,” Alexander, Jindal’s secretary for veterans affairs, told The (Monroe) News-Star on Thursday. “If I felt like the people of Louisiana and the 5th District wanted me for a particular purpose or office, I am willing to serve them.”
“I’m not taking up for the congressman; what he did was wrong,” Chance explained. “But I just feel like there is a conspiracy to bring Vance down and destroy him. For someone on his staff to do that is wrong.”
The pastor pointed the finger at McAllister’s Monroe District Office manager, Leah Gordon. And he said that two Republican state senators, Mike Walsworth and Rodney Alexander, were also in on it.
