NOPD wants to talk to ‘Beetlejuice;’ believe he witnessed a French Quarter attack

NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) – Police in New Orleans are looking for a man who dressed as Beetlejuice for Halloween. They believe he witnessed an attack on two men November 1, 2014 in the French Quarter.

Police said in a release, two men ages 29 and 37 were struck in the back of the head near the intersection of Orleans and Burgundy Streets just about 1 a.m. when the assailants asked to use their cell phones and the victims declined.

Both victims lost consciousness in the attack, police said. But one victim told police he remembered seeing an unknown man dressed as Beetlejuice standing over him, reassuring him everything would be okay while they waited for help.

Police say both victims were hospitalized.  The 29-year-old victim suffered a skull fracture and a subdural hematoma.  The 37-year-old victim suffered a laceration to the left side of his face requiring nine stitches…
