 NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) – Everyone loves a good comeback story. The Louisiana Economic Development wants to persuade people whose hearts are in Louisiana to come home.

“I’m originally from a small town called Church Point, Louisiana and I had to leave the state to chase my dream of working in the video game industry,” says Jessie Matte of Gameloft. Like Matte, each year people leave Louisiana to find work, but a new state campaign called, “Come Home, Louisiana,” is connecting those people to jobs right here.

“I was able to make my way across the country and then back to Louisiana which is fantastic, my family is only two and a half hours away, I don’t have to hop on a plane for the holidays I can drive,” Matte said.
