A U.S. Marine who was locked up for seven months in a Mexican prison was released Friday night.
Andrew Tahmooressi had been in Mexican custody since March 31st.
He was being held on weapons charges.
Tahmooressi says he accidentally entered Mexico after taking a wrong turn from California.
He had weapons and ammunition in his car.
Mexico has strict gun laws which prohibit anyone from illegally bringing guns into the country.
When he was arrested, Tahmooressi was staying in San Diego to get treatment for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder after serving two tours of duty in Afghanistan.
