Washington Parish drug bust is a family affair

WASHINGTON PARISH, (WGNO) – Detectives in Washington Parish arrested a grandmother, two of her sons and one of her grandsons during a raid that uncovered drugs, cash and weapons.

On Tuesday detectives went the home of Essie Williams on the 25000 block of Charlie Conerly Road in Vernon, where they found crack and powder cocaine, $10,238 in cash, a shotgun, rifle, and a .357 magnum revolver.

Washington Parish authorities said nearly half of the cash found were in $1 bills.

Essie Williams, 72, was arrested and charged with Possession With Intent to Distribute Cocaine  and Possession With Intent to Distribute Marijuana.  She remains in the Washington Parish Jail with bond set at $ 50,000.

Catlin Williams, 29, son of Essie Williams, was arrested and charged with Possession With Intent to Distribute Cocaine and Possession With Intent to Distribute Marijuana.  He was placed in the Washington Parish Jail with bond set…
