I can only speak for myself, but wallets are hot, and if you put your wallet in your back pocket, very uncomfortable to sit, they are uncomfortable to have in your front pocket, and is very common for this driver to have to reach into the car and retrieve the wallet.  And they say get your wallet, you don’t want any trouble, you react and immediately go to get the darn thing.

It even appears he reaches towards his back pocket and realizes it’s not there.
