Family Members Claim Body Of Marathon Bombing Suspect Tamerlan Tsarnaev

BOSTON (CBS/AP) — The body of Boston Marathon bombing suspect Tamerlan Tsarnaev has been claimed.

The 26-year-old’s body was brought from Boston to the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home in North Attleboro Thursday night. A group of protesters gathered outside the funeral home on Commonwealth Ave. after they heard the news.

Dyer-Lake Funeral Director Tim Nay told The Sun Chronicle that the body was only taken there temporarily, and it was transported to another funeral home late Thursday night.

The medical examiner determined Tsarnaev’s cause of death Monday, but officials said it won’t become public until his remains are released and a death certificate is filed.
