ChiefSerpasPeople close to a Garden District rape and robbery victim are applauding swift justice.

New Orleans Police have announced the arrests of all three suspects in the case.

“This was a ruthless, treacherous, cruel, violent attack,” New Orleans Police Superintendent Ronal Serpas said. “But I can’t tell you how grateful I am to the family of this young man who turned himself in this morning.”

It was around 6:30 Monday night when police say a woman was abducted at gunpoint, in the 12-hundred block of Eighth Street.

She was reportedly robbed, and rapped by three men.

Investigators obtained security camera footage from several locations and Wednesday released this picture of the first person of interest.
