The two potential cases of Tuberculosis have not been confirmed, but Lafayette Parish Schools and the Office of Public health are taking the proper precautions now. Right now, letters have been sent home to those exposed to this possible case, and testing of those individuals will start early next week. Dr. Tina Stefanski, with the Office of Public Health, was asked to address the school board Wednesday night.
“We’ve identified individuals who need to be tested, which includes faculty, teachers and students. It’s about 200 people identified as needing testing at this point,” Dr. Stefanski said.
