Posing As Students, Undercover Drug Cops Bust 22 At Temecula High Schools

TEMECULA (CBSLA.com) — Undercover officers busted 22 students from three schools in Temecula, according to officials.

Fifteen students were busted at Temecula Valley High School, two at a continuation school and five at Chapparal High.

Greg Mills, reporting for CBS2 and KCAL9, said the undercover cops posed as students and apparently no one was the wiser.

Mills spoke to Chapparal High student Biana Palacios who said about the arrests, “That’s like the talk of the school today. Everybody’s talking about it.”

Student Ruben Arreguan said, “Three of the five kids were in the same class. And so was the cop, my tech core class.”

Mills said the sheriff’s deputy posed as a student when the school year started lasted August.

Arreguan never suspected his classmate was in law enforcement. “To me, he was just a regular high school kid.”
