He may be a week late for the annual mowing of the mo’s that marks the end of Movember, but let’s all cut David Axelrod some slack, OK?

Barack Obama’s senior campaign advisor hasn’t gone sans moustache for 14,600 days, and so Friday was a momentous one: He shaved his salt-and-pepper soup-strainer, live on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” after raising a million dollars for epilepsy research.

“No shrieking,” he said, as a gaggle of news anchors gathered round him when the blades came out. “I was up all night, to be honest with you. It’s a little unsettling.”
