Alexandria, LA: Alexandria Police Make Arrest In TrappMoney Murder

ALEXANDRIA, La. – Alexandria police have arrested an Alexandria man they believe shot and killed a 26-year-old local rapper last week.

APD says 29-year-old Willie Andrews was arrested in connection with the shooting. Andrews was taken to the Rapides Parish Detention Center and charged with first-degree murder.

The shooting took place at the Quick ‘n’ Easy gas station on the corner of Lee and Macarthur last Wednesday. At the busy intersection, just an hour after the sundown, Brandon ‘TrappMoney’ Williams was shot and killed.


ALEXANDRIA, LA. – An update to yet another shooting that occurred in Alexandria, this one Wednesday night.It was the second of three shooting incidents in Rapides Parish in less than 24 hours. This shooting ended in the death of a young and well-respected member of the Cenla music community.At the busy intersection of Lee and MacArthur in Alexandria, just an hour after sundown, 26-year-old Brandon Williams was shot and killed at the Kwik N’ Easy gas station.Now, his family is dealing with the tragedy.”This was senseless. I mean, someone’s life was taken unnecessarily,” says his aunt Lakisha Thomas.According to Kwik N’ Easy owner Sam Shabib, Williams and a friend pulled into this gas station around 8 p.m. Wednesday. Shabib says moments later, the friend came running inside the store, saying Williams had been shot.”I’ve been in this like, this area like 10 years and never seen anything happen like that before,” says Shabib.
