Four Pineville men and two 16-year-old Alexandria boys are in jail on a long list of sex crime charges, including raping two girls — one barely a teenager, the other a few years from becoming a teen.Prosecutors say the girls were raped and enticed into prostitution with the men and boys, including at least one relative.

Holiday of Lights Parade
NATCHITOCHES, La.- More than 200,000 people showed up to Natchitoches today for the cities eighty-sixth annual Christmas festival. News Channel Five’s Nolan Crane was one of those in attendance and he shows us why every year so many people come out to share in the Christmas tradition.
Alexandria, LA: Complaints about “The Releaf Shop” lead to arrests

The Alexandria Police Department executed a search warrant at “The Releaf Shop” located at 2304 S. MacArthur Drive. Narcotic Agents arrested four people, charging them with multiple drug charges.
After several complaints, the Alexandria Narcotics Division developed evidence that the illegal substance, Synthethic Cannabinids, was being sold. All four suspects were booked into the Rapides Parish Detention Facility.
18-year-old Sonny Pennington and 26-year-old Charles Adam Pennington, both of Marksville are both charged with 4 counts Poss CDS I (Synthetic Cannabinoids) with Intent to Distribute and 2,706 counts on Poss of Drug Paraphernalia.
25-year-old Rashad Hamideh and 26-year-old Elizabeth Iwalani Johnson Ashley, both of Alexandria, are both charged with 5 counts Poss CDS I (Synthetic Cannabinoids) with Intent to Distribute, 2,710 counts Poss Drug Paraphernalia, and 2 counts Illegal Use of Weapon w/CDS.

Alexandria, LA: Man tasered/arrested after getting into deputy’s car, trying to take away deputy’s weapon, and threatening the deputy with a brick

According to a report from the Rapides Parish Sheriff’s Office, the deputy was sitting in his vehicle on Hardtner Street when Dustin Othel Thompson, 27, of 5112 Burnaman St. entered the vehicle.
The deputy told Thompson to get out of the car and asked if there was a problem. The release stated when the deputy went to the back of the car to speak to Thompson, Thompson tried to take the deputy’s weapon and Taser gun from the deputy.
After Thompson pick[ed] up a brick and moved toward the deputy, the deputy stunned Thompson.
