Orwell was half right…and completely wrong…
Orwell told only one story. In his future, he could only imagine Government -with it’s secrets - ever being able to afford things like hidden cameras and gadgetry. In Orwell’s world you would never have the opportunity to turn the cameras against the Government. He never imagined the average Joe walking around with a cell phone that can take true high-definition video and great audio capturing moments in time for all the world to see.
He never saw communications spreading to something called the intergoggltoobzwebwww’s either…
