ConservativeOnly.com, a U.S. dating site that promises to “purge your personal dating pool of liberals, progressives, socialists, marxists, communists, feminazis and democrats” — has just announced it is expanding into Canada.
“Founder Craig Knight realized that conservatism was not just limited to the United States. … It was clear the next step was to expand his dating website to include Canada, United Kingdom and Australia,” the company says in a news release.
With all eyes on New Orleans there's a definite increase in security around the downtown area. WGNO's Vanessa Bolano went inside the FBI's headquarters to see how they're keeping everyone safe.

Infamous hoaxster Tawana Brawley — whose outrageous rape lie 25 years ago inflamed racial tensions nationwide — yesterday was finally slapped with a court order to settle a hefty defamation case against her.
“For at least 25 years, she has been living a major lie,” said former Dutchess County prosecutor Steven Pagones, who was falsely accused of raping Brawley in 1987 and finally tracked her down, thanks to The Post.
“To me, this has always been about responsibility and accountability,’’ added the former ADA, who won the $190,000 defamation lawsuit against Brawley, 40, now a nurse in Virginia, more than a decade ago.
At 9 percent interest, that debt, which Brawley never attempted to pay off, now totals $431,492, according to the wage-garnishment papers filed in Virginia’s Surry County Court.
Brawley — whose unbelievable lies made the Rev. Al Sharpton a household name as he bombastically championed her cause — had changed her name and moved down South in the years since she was exposed.
Her fugitive-like antics long thwarted Pagones’ efforts to serve her with the court papers needed to get the financial damages due him.

Seems to me Al Sharpton should take some of the responsibility for this hoax and be made to help pay her debts. Tawana should sue Al.
Let’s face it - yeah she told a whopper of a lie – but she was 16 years old and Al used her just as much as he used the media. Once she told the lie and then she had all this media attention, it was kind of hard for her to admit to the entire nation she was a liar. She was being manipulated by Al and prodded to tell her story to a national audience.
She was probably also seeing dollar signs, being told to just keep telling her story and when it’s all over she was going to be one filthy rich girl. Who cares if it affects some innocent white people? Think about all the injustices that have been perpetrated against innocent black people by white people. Payback time.
We have had cases where grown women’s husbands have committed horrible crimes. The wives were aware of these crimes, but because they were so manipulated, and so in fear of their husbands that they were not convicted as accessories to the crime.
I am sure Tawana was in great fear of the retaliation she might receive from some people if she were to admit she lied once the lie went national.

Of course Nancy Pelosi has read the entire 2,700 page Obamacare bill. You'll like what's in it too when you get around to reading it yourself, but if you don't have the time for that now, the IRS has released an appetizer: 73 pages of regulations surrounding the Affordable Care Act and penalties for not complying, titled "Shared Responsibility Payment for Not Maintaining Minimum Essential Coverage."

OK, so Anastacia Freeman might not be the greatest singer (and we're saying this knowing that Nicki Minaj is sitting in the same room), but there's no reason to ridicule her inspiration for trying out for "American Idol." "I believe God told me to come up here an audition," she told judge Randy Jackson. Minaj thought that was "weird," but the comment was enough for the producers to shoot a "cheap dramatization" featuring a heavenly light, clouds of smoke and a choir of angels, prior to host Ryan Seacrest narrating her exit: a bitter end "as she heads home to await further instruction."
The Coast Guard said Tuesday that about 7,000 gallons of crude oil were unaccounted for aboard a leaking barge that had rammed a railroad bridge near Vicksburg, Miss. on the Mississippi River, which remained closed for a third day as crews slowly pumped out oil.
Petty Officer 3rd Class Jonathan Lally said it’s not clear that all of the 7,000 gallons leaked into the river since the collision early Sunday. Some of it, he said, could have seeped into void spaces inside the barge.
Lally said a plan to pump oil from the stricken barge onto another barge — a process known as lightering — had been approved but it was unclear how long that would take or when the river might reopen to vessels. He said the other barge was in route.
Environmental impact, Lally said, has been minimal because a boom is containing the leak around the barge and the leak is slow.

The family of a motorcycle deputy killed two years ago while escorting a Mardi Gras float successfully sued the krewe and the driver who hit him, winning a record-setting $14 million judgment this week.
The Terrebonne Parish jury deliberated for about 90 minutes before rendering its verdict Tuesday night, finding the driver of the truck pulling the float 95 percent responsible and the driver of the car that hit him 5 percent responsible, said Bill Dodd, the family’s attorney.
“It was a significant verdict in terms of the money awarded, and it served as vindication because of the allegations that the Sheriff’s Office and Timmy did something wrong,” Dodd said.
Investigators have confiscated more than $13.6 million worth of phony sports merchandise over the past five months and expect to seize more in New Orleans during Super Bowl week, a federal law-enforcement official said Thursday.
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement Director John Morton said authorities also have shut down more than 300 websites selling counterfeit goods as part of an enforcement effort dubbed “Operation Red Zone.”
The operation targeted international shipments of jerseys, hats and other souvenirs entering the U.S. for sale by stores, flea markets and street vendors.

Betelgeuse (/ˈbiːtəldʒuːz/ or /ˈbɛtəldʒuːz/),[1] also known by its Bayer designation Alpha Orionis (α Orionis, α Ori), is the eighth brightest star in the night sky and second brightest star in the constellation of Orion, outshining Rigel (Beta Orionis) only rarely. Distinctly reddish-tinted, it is a semiregular variable star whose apparent magnitude varies between 0.2 and 1.2, the widest range of any first magnitude star. The star marks the upper right vertex of the Winter Triangle asterism and the center of the Winter Hexagon. http://battleofourtimes.com/
