MANSFIELD (CBS 11 NEWS) – It’s the time of year when homeowners in an Mansfield neighborhood would be showing off their Christmas decorations.
Lights, Santa, reindeer — all lite up and glowing near Almond and Yarmouth.
This year, there’s not much of that going around.
After Christmas lights were smashed, Santas destroyed and reindeer knocked over, neighbors say they’ve had enough.
Last week, a family’s large inflatable Santa was stolen and returned trashed.
“I had all the trees decorated,” says Don Kahler. “I had a blue stream that used to run in my front yard because the deer would be drinking from it.”
Kahler did that last year now his decorations sit in a box in his garage.
He refuses to put them up.
