Baton Rouge, LA: Man found fatally wounded in car

Sheriff’s deputies early Sunday found a fatally wounded man inside a vehicle on Sarasota Drive, and learned later that another male had been wounded, a spokeswoman said.

Jarvis Nelson, 22, 4447 Sarasota Drive was found inside a parked vehicle in the 4000 block of Sarasota about 2:15 a.m. Sunday, Casey Rayborn Hicks, a spokeswoman for the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office, said in a news release.

Deputies were told later that a second person had been hit, allegedly on Sarasota. That person, a male, was transported to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries, the release says.
