The New Orleans business-focused blog CityBusiness ran a story yesterday admonishing those with pet-friendly offices to create clear policies ahead of time for human-animal interactions in the workplace. The story reminds readers that having Rover around is not all stress-reduction and creativity boosting -- dogs can bite employees or clients, make unhygienic messes on the carpets and allergic employees have a right to a low-allergen environment according to the Americans with Disabilities Act.
