BERLIN, GERMANY: According to German authorities, they have finally solved the long-winded mystery of the 'Forest boy'. Authorities in Berlin say the story itself is a made-up-hoax by a then 17 year old boy who fled his home in the Netherlands and made up the 'Forest' story to shield being caught by police while underage.
Now 20, (his name isn't being released) the hoaxer has been given 48 hours to flee the youth center in which he was placed at in Berlin, simply because he is no longer under-age.
